We have built a React-based web application with a 1:1 video calling feature powered by Twilio Programmable Video. While we have established a solid foundation, the video call performance is not meeting our quality standards. We are experiencing issues with call stability, network drops/reconnections, and overall audio/video quality under variable bandwidths. We need an expert to audit our current architecture, diagnose network/signaling issues, and implement optimization strategies to make the video calls highly reliable. Our Tech Stack Frontend: React, Redux Toolkit, TypeScript, TailwindCSS WebRTC SDK: Twilio Video JS SDK (v2) Real-Time Sync: WebSockets (socket.io-client), Twilio Sync (for room sync) Backend API: Node.js + TypeScript, Redis (for session management) Monitoring/Diagnostics: Custom WebRTC Stats Sampler, Custom Network Quality Manager, Sentry for error tracking Key Areas We Need Help With Network & Call Quality Audit: Diagnose why some users experience frozen video, pixelated quality, or choppy audio.
