About Us We are a small company using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online as our primary collaboration and document management platform. We are looking for an experienced SharePoint developer/consultant to help us improve our SharePoint environment, establish a professional branded experience, automate workflows, and create secure external sharing models for our customers. Project Overview We need a SharePoint Online specialist who can assess our current Microsoft 365 environment and implement best practices for site design, document management, automation, and external collaboration. Scope of Work 1. SharePoint Site Branding & User Experience * Design and implement a professional branded SharePoint Online experience. * Customize site themes, navigation, landing pages, and page layouts. * Ensure branding aligns with our company identity. * Improve usability and consistency across SharePoint sites. 2. Document & File Automation * Design and implement Folder/Document management processes. * Create automated workflows using Power Automate and other Microsoft 365 tools. * Automate document creation, notifications, file routing, and archival processes. * Establish document libraries, metadata, content types, and retention practices where appropriate. 3. External Sharing & Customer Collaboration * Design secure external sharing models for customers and business partners. * Configure guest access and permissions. * Create customer-specific document sharing structures. * Recommend and implement Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online security best practices. * Ensure ease of use while maintaining strong security and governance controls. 4. Governance & Recommendations * Review our current SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 configuration. * Provide recommendations for site architecture, permissions, governance, and document management. * Document all configurations and provide knowledge transfer to our team. Required Skills * Strong experience with SharePoint Online. * Microsoft 365 administration experience. * Power Automate workflow development. * SharePoint site design and branding. * SharePoint permissions and security management. * Experience with external sharing, guest access, and customer portals. * Understanding of Microsoft Purview, retention policies, and governance best practices is a plus. * Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications * Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or Power Platform. * Experience working with small and medium-sized businesses. * Experience designing customer-facing SharePoint collaboration environments. Deliverables * Branded SharePoint Online environment. * Configured and documented Folder/Document automation workflows. * Secure external sharing framework for customer collaboration. * Governance and security recommendations. * Administrative documentation and knowledge transfer session.
