I’m ready to move a narrative short film from raw footage to a polished, festival-ready master and need an editor who can handle the entire post-production journey. The core tasks include shaping the story through precise cutting and trimming, adding tasteful special effects where they strengthen the visual language, and performing thorough color correction and grading to give the film a consistent, cinematic tone. The final runtime is still fluid—once we start assembling scenes, the piece could land anywhere under five minutes or stretch beyond fifteen, depending on what best serves the story arc. Because of that, I value editors who can make creative suggestions about pacing and structure rather than simply following a shot list. You’ll likely lean on tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro (or Avid), DaVinci Resolve for grading, and After Effects or similar software for any compositing. As long as the workflow stays organized, I’m open to your preferred platform. Deliverables upon completion: • Picture-locked edit in high-resolution format • Color-graded master (Rec. 709) plus project files • Separate audio stems and a stereo-mixed track • Final export in both ProRes HQ and an H.264 web-ready version I’ll supply synced footage, a shot log, and reference notes immediately after we kick off.
