Descripción de la oferta
I’m organizing a short project in Africa and need a licensed pediatric occupational therapist who can travel here, settle in quickly, and run sensory-integration–focused sessions for children aged 4 – 12. You will alternate between one-to-one work and small group activities, adapting each session to our limited equipment and the local cultural context. Your clinical day will start with brief assessments, move into treatment blocks, and end with quick debriefs for parents and teachers so they can reinforce the strategies at home and in class. I can provide a basic therapy room, volunteer aides, and interpretation support; you will bring the professional know-how, creativity, and any lightweight materials you rely on. Deliverables • Initial screening notes for every child you see • Individualised treatment plans that emphasise sensory integration goals • Daily progress summaries accessible to caregivers and school staff • A concise end-of-placement report outlining continued-care recommendations If you have recent experience in low-resource settings, are comfortable designing both group and individual interventions, and can commit to a few intensive weeks on site, I’ll handle flights, accommodation, and local logistics so you can focus on therapy. Let’s discuss timing, visa requirements, and anything else you need to make this mission a success.
