I am looking for an experienced smart home automation specialist to optimize my home network setup via a secure remote desktop session. I currently have 10 Ring cameras (including Ring Indoor Cams) connected to an Apple Home environment using Home Assistant and Scrypted running on a Raspberry Pi 4. Required Tasks & DeliverablesFix Live Stream Failures: Configure the Scrypted HomeKit Plugin to change the mDNS advertiser from Bonjour to Ciao or Avahi to fix local broadcast blocks.Verify Network Modes: Check our containerized/system network architecture to ensure everything uses network_mode: host so Apple Home can see the stream broadcasts properly.Optimize Video Transcoding: Adjust bitrate, resolution, and transcoding profiles inside Scrypted for the 10 Ring feeds to ensure the Raspberry Pi processor is not overloaded.Bypass Unnecessary Translation Layers: Configure the cameras to pair directly from Scrypted to Apple Home using Scrypted's native HomeKit pairing codes, rather than routing the video through Home Assistant first.Remote Connection Check: Verify our SSH and network security settings to ensure stable access during the configuration. Also want all other smart devices in home to work with Apple Home (many tuya switches and plug in’s). Am willing to purchase a Raspberry Pi’s 5 or I have a old laptop that I could use if compatible.
