I'm looking for a consultant to help me build my own software development agency (software factory). I come from a non-technical background and I'm not a software developer, but I'm passionate about the software industry. Over the past few years I've learned the fundamentals of software development and technology, and I believe there are great business opportunities in this field. My goal is to take on the business side of the company—management, sales, marketing, strategy, and operations. Since I don't have formal education or significant experience in these areas, I'm looking for someone who has successfully built or managed a software development agency (or a similar business) and can mentor me through the process. I'm looking for practical consulting to design a step-by-step roadmap for launching the business, helping me learn along the way while making smart decisions about investing the capital I've saved for this project. My initial plan is to establish the agency in Argentina, focusing on the local market first, with the intention of expanding internationally if things go well. The business model would be to work with freelance developers and find clients who need web applications, mobile apps, internal business systems, AI automation, and other software solutions for startups, entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized businesses. For areas where I currently lack expertise, such as digital marketing or sales, I'm open to outsourcing work to specialized agencies or consultants when necessary. However, my long-term objective is to continuously learn, develop expertise in those areas, and become less dependent on external providers over time. On the technical side, my ideal scenario is to find a technical co-founder who is an experienced software developer and understands how to build and deliver software products. I believe this would create a strong partnership where I focus on business while my partner leads the technical side. Together, we could make better strategic decisions, communicate effectively with clients, and define the best technical solutions for each project. Although this post is primarily about finding a consultant, I'm also open to connecting with experienced developers who might be interested in becoming co-founders and building this business together. It would be ideal to work with someone from Latin America—especially Argentina—since they'll have a better understanding of the local market.
