My live WordPress site for hiring motorhomes has become painfully slow, especially on the homepage. Images, the availability calendar, and the payment gateway all sit on that front page, so every second of delay is costing enquiries and bookings. I ran a quick check with an online speed-testing tool but did not save the report, so you will need to start fresh with GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, or a similar service. No new plugins, themes, or other changes have been added recently, which leads me to suspect that caching, image weight, database bloat, or server-side configuration is the culprit. What I need from you: • Diagnose the bottlenecks that are slowing the homepage. • Optimise images, scripts, CSS, database queries and set up proper caching (plugin or server level) to bring load times down to an acceptable level. • Ensure the booking calendar and payment flow remain fully functional after the tune-up. • Provide before-and-after speed reports and a brief hand-over note on what was changed so I can maintain performance in future.
