I need a well-structured SQL database that turns raw sales transactions into clear insight for our monthly analytics and reporting. The core job is to design the schema, import existing sales data, and build the queries (or stored procedures) that generate our standard monthly sales report with totals, trends, and key breakdowns. Right now the data lives in CSV exports from our point-of-sale system. I want it migrated into a relational database—engine choice is open (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, or another you recommend) as long as it handles growth and lets me run additional ad-hoc reports later. Good indexing and normalization are essential because report runs must stay quick when the dataset scales. Deliverables: • SQL scripts for creating all tables, constraints, and indexes • A repeatable import routine for the historical CSV files (command line or GUI is fine) • The query or stored procedure that outputs the full monthly sales report in a ready-to-export format (CSV or XLSX) • Brief documentation explaining the schema, the import steps, and how to trigger the report Once everything is running locally, I’ll provide VPN or cloud access to our server for final deployment and a quick test on live data.
