I run a small, independent publishing house and am ready to leave Squarespace behind so our paid ad traffic has a faster, more conversion-friendly destination on Shopify. I need an experienced Shopify developer who can replicate (and improve) the current look and feel, bring every book description, blog post, and image across intact, and wire the store for smooth sales from day one. Key parts of the brief • Design & layout transfer – the homepage must showcase new releases, the product pages need clean “Look Inside” galleries, and the checkout flow should feel frictionless on both desktop and mobile. • Content migration – all existing pages, posts, and SEO settings have to move over without broken links. • E-commerce setup – integrate our preferred payment gateway (currently Stripe), confirm tax and shipping rules for US and international orders, and switch on basic inventory tracking so we know when to reorder print runs. I’ll provide: • Access to the Squarespace backend and DNS. • High-resolution cover art, fonts, and brand guidelines. • A shortlist of competing Shopify bookstores whose ad-based funnels I admire, for inspiration. Acceptance criteria 1. Shopify theme live on my domain, matching or surpassing current branding. 2. All books purchasable end-to-end with a working payment gateway test. 3. Google Ads and Facebook Pixel installed so I can begin retargeting immediately. 4. 301 redirects in place so we keep our organic rankings. If you’ve migrated content-heavy sites before and know Shopify’s checkout sandbox inside out, I’d love to get this launched in the next two weeks.
