I’m putting together a micro-budget fantasy short that blends live actors (humans and fairies) with muppet-style mouse children, and I need clear, engaging storyboards to lock down the look before we shoot. Scope The immediate priority is every dialogue-heavy exchange and each character introduction. Those pages will shape blocking, eyelines, and puppet choreography, so I’m counting on your visual instincts. We’re aiming for a semi-realistic style—something that sits comfortably between photo-real and full cartoon, closer in spirit to The Dark Crystal and the production design of How The Grinch Stole Christmas than to anything overly stylised. How we’ll work You’ll receive the script segments, shot notes, and reference stills. We’ll hop on quick calls or annotated boards to keep timing lean; my budget is tiny, but my feedback will be prompt and specific so we don’t waste strokes. I’m open to traditional pencil, Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, or any digital equivalent as long as the final boards arrive as high-res PDFs that production can drop straight into our shot-planning software. Deliverables • Thumbnail pass for approval (rough poses and framing) • Clean pass with panel numbers, dialogue/narration, basic camera moves, and timing notes • A compiled PDF plus the layered source files What will make you shine Strong figurative drawing, an eye for subtle character acting, and any on-set or animation pre-production experience.
