TASK General Guidelines 1. Complete the ‘To be filled by the student section’ in the cover page 2. Project must be submitted as an electronic document in MS word via the LMS (Use 12 Times New Roman script with 1.5 spacing between lines) 4. The project should not contain any contents with references cited from websites such as ukessays.com, styudymode.com, slideshare.net, scribd.com, Wikipedia but should contain references/citations from credible academic journal and articles. 5. Turnitin report (maximum 40% overall and maximum 3% for individual source similarity) is required to be submitted. Appendices and references should be removed before submitting it for Turnitin. Turnitin report should be submitted in PDF format separately, as well. Task 1 - Project Report (6000 +- 10% Words) Scenario: For this Report, you can choose your organization where you are currently working or where you have worked earlier. If you are choosing any other organization, it has to be one about which you have firsthand knowledge so as to fulfill the requirements of the assignment. You will write a Report on the chosen organization’s strategic management changes that it wants to incorporate, to find answers to certain questions set up in the main assignment task given below. The Report will have the following important components/steps: 1. Analyse the current vision, mission, objectives and existing strategy of the organization 2. Conduct a detailed environmental analysis using the tools in the modules and identify the environmental challenges and possible opportunities 3. Identify an important environmental challenge and discuss the possible impact of it on the organization and its stakeholders 4. Create a strategy using tools learned to overcome this challenge and discuss how you would implement it in your organization. 5. Discuss the various challenges you would face in the implementation and discuss how you would improve innovation as well as make effective use of change management principles. Suggested Report Format STRONG CHARACTERISTICS: - There is enough reliable evidence about the organization and its environment - The challenge should be current, significant and strategically relevant - The organization is willing to change - You should use and apply strategic tools to diagnose the issues and compare the possible responses - The strategy that should be formulated can be translated into a realistic implementation plan with (responsibilities, resources, timing, and measures success (KPI) Suggested Report Structure and Word Allocation: Section Marks Word count Main Purpose behind the section I. Executive Summary (10) 350-450 Summarize the whole report, including the challenges, main findings, strategy and key implementation recommendations. II. Introduction (15) 900 – 1000 Introduce the organization and you need to critically evaluate its current position, competitiveness, design and life cycle III. Environmental Analysis & the Need for Change (15) 950 Use at least 2 tools to identify and evaluate important environmental factors and the organization’s response IV. Strategy Identification & Implementation (25) 1450 – 1550 Formulate a strategy using at least 2 tools and present a realistic implementation and change plan V. Leadership Values to Manage Change (25) 1450 – 1550 Critically asses leadership styles performance, values, CSR and provide recommendations. VI. Conclusion (10) 500-600 Bring together the strategic issue, selected solutions, assumptions, limitations, and the final justification. NOTE: All claims and arguments must be substantiated using a minimum of 15 high-quality academic references, including peer-reviewed journal articles, scholarly books, and reputable research publications. Non-academic sources such as commercial websites, blogs, or Wikipedia are not considered appropriate for Master’s level references.
