Using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, I need a working model that convincingly demonstrates— for sales support purposes— exactly how many AGVs a manufacturing plant will require to hit our promised throughput. The study focuses on one key metric: validating the optimum fleet size, so the model must let me tweak order volumes, shift patterns, and process times, then report resulting vehicle utilisation and any bottlenecks that appear. Core expectations • Build a clear, well-structured Plant Simulation model of the proposed manufacturing layout. • Parameterise AGV count, speeds, loading rules and mission priorities so scenario runs are quick to set up. • Provide dashboards or built-in charts that summarise throughput, idle time and vehicle saturation at the end of each experiment. • Supply a brief user guide outlining how to adjust inputs and regenerate results. Acceptance criteria The model will be considered complete when a change in daily throughput instantly shows the revised number of AGVs needed (with utilisation staying below 85 %) and no queue exceeds the limits I will specify during review.
