I have a simple, joyful concept for a picture book aimed at babies and toddlers aged 0-3 and now need the words that will make the pages come alive. The core of the story is friendship—warm, inclusive, and easy for little listeners to feel. Here’s what I’m after: • A complete manuscript of around 150–300 words, broken into page spreads suitable for a 24- to 28-page board book. • Language that is rhythmic, read-aloud friendly, and developmentally appropriate, with plenty of repetition and on-page interaction (sound words, peek-a-boo moments, simple questions, etc.). • Clear visual cues in the text so that a cartoon-style illustrator can easily translate each moment into bright, playful artwork. I’ll share a short outline of the characters and a rough story arc once we start. You’re welcome to suggest tweaks or add creative touches as long as the friendship theme stays front and center.
