I’m preparing to launch a fresh line of traditional ethnic wear and need a skilled fashion designer to shape the entire collection from concept to production-ready tech packs. The emphasis is on authenticity: classic silhouettes, culturally rooted detailing and fabrics that celebrate heritage rather than modern fusion or sporty interpretations. Here’s how I see the workflow: • Mood board and story direction that clearly defines the inspiration, colour palette and key motifs. • Hand or digital sketches of each look, followed by clean flats in Illustrator (or similar). • Fabric and trim recommendations that can be sourced without difficulty, plus basic cost notes. • Full tech packs with measurements, construction notes and embellishment placements, ready for a sampling unit or factory. Clear communication and regular checkpoints are important to ensure every design stays true to traditional styling while still feeling fresh for today’s market.
