We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Excel expert with strong Spanish translation and localization skills to convert an existing English Excel calculator into a fully functional Spanish version. The workbook contains multiple worksheets, formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, drop-down lists, charts, and may include VBA macros. The goal is to create a Spanish-language version that functions exactly like the original English workbook while maintaining all calculations, formatting, and automation. The translated workbook should provide the same user experience for Spanish-speaking users without affecting the integrity of the calculations or logic. Scope of Work Translate all user-facing text from English to Spanish, including: Worksheet names Labels and headings Instructions Buttons Error messages Comments and notes Data validation messages Chart titles and labels Preserve all formulas, calculations, and workbook logic. Update drop-down lists and lookup tables where appropriate. Translate VBA UserForms, message boxes, and prompts (if applicable). Ensure all macros and automation continue to function correctly. Verify that formulas, references, named ranges, and links are not broken during translation. Maintain the original formatting, branding, colors, and layout. Perform end-to-end testing to ensure the Spanish version produces identical calculation results as the English version. Deliverables Fully translated Spanish Excel workbook (.xlsm or .xlsx, as applicable) Source code for any VBA modules (no password-protected or locked code) Documentation summarizing any changes made Testing report confirming that all calculations, formulas, and macros function identically to the English version Required Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel VBA/Macro development (if applicable) Native or fluent Spanish English-to-Spanish business translation Experience with complex Excel calculators Strong testing and quality assurance skills Acceptance Criteria The project will be considered complete when: All user-facing content has been accurately translated into Spanish. No broken references, formulas, or validation rules exist. The Spanish workbook has been thoroughly tested and functions exactly like the English version. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience translating financial, engineering, compliance, or business Excel models. Experience localizing Excel applications for international users. Ability to recommend improvements while preserving existing functionality.
