VaultX is already live in Python 3 / Flask with a Bootstrap-based front end and a SQLite data layer (MySQL optional). It works, but it doesn’t feel finished. I want to transform it into a polished, production-ready “Digital Memory Locker” that delights users and scales cleanly. Here’s what I need you to tackle: • User interface refresh – craft a modern dashboard, introduce subtle animations, implement a seamless dark/light mode toggle, and generally uplift the UX. Everything must stay fully responsive on desktop, tablet, and mobile across all major browsers. • Backend refinement – refactor and modularise the existing Flask routes, tighten up security, optimise queries, and prepare the ORM layer so the app can run on either SQLite or MySQL without code changes. • New capability – weave in a lightweight AI-driven feature (for example smart tagging or relevance search). I’m open to suggestions and will choose the idea that fits best once you review the codebase. • Bug hunt & performance tune – locate and resolve the issues users have reported, then streamline load times with asset minification, lazy loading and any other low-hanging optimisations. Acceptance criteria: 1. Updated source code builds and runs locally with a single command, using virtualenv/venv. 2. All screens render correctly in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge at 1440 px, 768 px and 375 px widths. 3. Lighthouse performance ≥ 90 on desktop and mobile. 4. All new or changed endpoints covered by unit tests (pytest preferred). 5. A concise README summarises setup, the new AI feature, and deployment to both SQLite and MySQL. I’ll provide the current Git repository and an issue list the moment we start. Looking forward to seeing how you can push VaultX to the next level.
