I need immediate help managing several Linux-based database servers. The first task is a clean server setup and configuration that gets our production databases running smoothly. From there, I want continuous system monitoring and maintenance so issues are detected early, followed by a thorough security configuration and auditing process that hardens the environment, tightens permissions, and keeps patches up to date. Timing is critical—work needs to start right away and the initial setup must be completed as soon as possible. Deliverables • Fully configured Linux database server(s) ready for production use • Active monitoring with tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus, including dashboards or alerting scripts • Security hardening report detailing changes, resolved vulnerabilities, and recommendations for ongoing auditing You should be comfortable working over SSH, installing and tuning services like MySQL or PostgreSQL on common distros (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) and documenting every change so future maintenance is straightforward.
