I’m handing over a set of small component models in both STL and STEP format. They already exist but the mating geometry still needs to be dialled in so that each piece seats perfectly against the parts it will join. The fit is critical—I’m working to strict tolerances rather than “close enough,” and I have only partial measurements for the neighbouring parts, so I’ll need your help closing the data gaps before we lock anything down. Here’s what I need from you: • Review my current files, check the interfaces and spot where material has to move—however minor—to achieve the correct engagement. • Adjust the CAD so the final geometry respects those tight tolerance bands; no interference, no rattling. • Provide updated STEP and STL files, plus a quick drawing or annotation showing the exact fit zones and the numbers we agreed on, so the machine shop can hit them first pass. Any mainstream parametric tool works for me (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.) as long as the exported files stay clean. A short screen-share or markup session up front should be enough to clarify the missing mating dimensions; after that, one iteration to verify and a final pass to freeze the models. Let’s get these parts production-ready.
