We run a small, internationally focused investment boutique and I’m looking for a reliable person to become the analytical and admin backbone of our private-equity activity. Your first priority will be vetting and scoring new deals: digging into data rooms, stress-testing assumptions, modelling cash flows, and writing concise risk-viability memos that our investment committee can act on with confidence, checking investment contracts and agreements, and possible related duties. Alongside the core due-diligence work, I’ll gradually involve you in the day-to-day administration of a modest fund, portfolio-structuring exercises, and periodic client updates. Think of it as working across the entire life-cycle of a deal—from screening through exit—while keeping investors informed along the way. You’ll need to be comfortable with: • Financial modelling in Excel (DCF, LBO, scenario analysis) • Research tools such as PitchBook, Capital IQ, or Bloomberg for market and comparable data • Drafting clear investment memoranda and slide decks (Word / PowerPoint) • Creating a transparent risk-scoring framework we can apply consistently to new opportunities • Coordinating with legal, tax and compliance advisers when structuring vehicles Acceptance criteria for each opportunity you review: 1. Complete document checklist from the data room with commentary on gaps 2. 3-statement model with base, downside and upside cases 3. Written memo (max 5 pages) covering market sizing, competitive positioning, management assessment, ESG flags, and an overall numerical risk score 4. Presentation summary ready for client or committee distribution There’s no immediate deadline, so we can build a steady, long-term workflow that delivers quality over speed. If you’ve already performed deep-dive due diligence on private-equity or venture deals and enjoy combining rigorous analysis with clear communication, I’d love to see examples of your past work and discuss next steps. We will be prepared to provide performance-related incentives on top of any fixed payment.
