I’m building a browser-based system whose single purpose is to help users crank up their reading speed. The focus is strictly on speed improvement, so the interface must stay distraction-free while letting readers raise or lower words-per-minute on the fly. Core flow: a visitor pastes or uploads text, hits Play, and the words stream one at a time (or in small clusters) with adjustable WPM, pause, rewind, and skip controls. A simple progress bar plus real-time stats—current WPM, time left, total words—covers version one. No comprehension quizzes or heavy user accounts are needed right now. Any modern web stack works; pick whatever you’re fastest with—React, Vue, Svelte, or even vanilla JS. A back-end is optional unless you need it for saving settings. Keep the code clean, well-commented, and lean on open-source libraries where possible. Deliverables (within four weeks): • Deployed, fully functional web app (demo URL or my host) • All source files and assets • README with setup, build, and deployment steps I’ll supply final copy and branding later, so placeholder styling is fine.
