I’m updating the lighting throughout my home and need a qualified electrician who is comfortable working at standard ceiling heights as well as a two-story vaulted living room. The very first priority is hanging two industrial-style chandeliers—one over the two-story fireplace and another smaller one in a bedroom. Both fixtures are already on site in their original packaging. Beyond the chandeliers, I’d like to retrofit several other areas with new lighting. The kitchen requires recessed cans, a hallway needs the same treatment, and the formal living room is ready for a new surface-mount fixture. In the formal dining room I have wall sconces that need to be wired and mounted so they tie in seamlessly with the existing switch. To make expectations clear, here’s what I’d like handed over when the job is complete: • Safe, code-compliant installation of both chandeliers, including any necessary bracing for the two-story ceiling • All recessed cans wired, trimmed, and tested in the kitchen and hall • New fixture installed in the formal living room with the existing wall switch fully functional • Dining-room sconces mounted, leveled, and connected to the current circuit • All cutouts neatly patched and left paint-ready; no dangling wires or visible hardware Experience with vaulted-ceiling work, tall ladders, and clean drywall repair will be a big plus.
