I already have a batch of 2.1-inch round 360 × 360 GC9B72 TFT panels from goldenmorninglcd.com and now need the electronics and software ecosystem that turns them into a re-configurable display wall. Think 3 × 3, 4 × 4, 5 × 5, 6 × 6—or even larger—matrices where each module clicks together, powers up, and appears as one continuous canvas. Hardware • Design a compact PCB for each display that carries its own driver, power conditioning and a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller so every tile can auto-discover its neighbours. • Provide an edge connector or other simple bus so power and data can daisy-chain when the tiles are slotted into a frame. • Supply full schematics, BOM and Gerber files, plus a reference back-plane/controller if you feel a master node will simplify things. Production ready from jlcpcb.com Firmware • Over-the-air-updatable code that joins a local Wi-Fi network, registers the tile’s position and listens for frame-buffer data. • Smart addressing so the same firmware runs on every module regardless of its spot in the grid. • Smooth rendering of static patterns, animations and an always-on clock pushed from the web app. Web-browser App (primary user interface) The app must run in any modern browser—desktop, tablet or phone—without installing native iOS/Android packages for now. Inside the app I need to: 1. Create, edit and save colourful dot patterns, exactly like interactive spot paintings. 2. Trigger a dynamic clock mode that can be customised with different colour schemes or backgrounds. 3. Push content live to the grid and preview it instantly. 4. Manage multiple layouts so I can swap a 4 × 4 artwork to a 6 × 6 without rewriting code. Deliverables • Tile and (if required) master-board PCB design files (schematic, layout, Gerbers, pick-and-place, 3-D). • Fully documented firmware source and compiled binaries. • Browser-based app with clean, commented HTML/CSS/JavaScript and a lightweight backend only if absolutely necessary. • Setup guide covering assembly, flashing, network configuration and content upload. • A short demo video or GIF proving a multi-tile array running both pattern and clock modes. Acceptance criteria • Any number of tiles up to at least 36 auto-map correctly after power-on. • Latency low enough that the clock’s seconds hand or colour transitions remain visually smooth. • Pattern editor responds in real time and matches what appears on the physical grid. • All files build and run using open-source toolchains (KiCad preferred for PCB, PlatformIO/Arduino-CLI or similar for firmware). With this complete system I can ship Gerbers to my PCB house, assemble the modules, open a browser and start painting with light on a wall of round displays—no extra coding required.
