Wind Load Certification for 2 Pergolas -- 2
Publicada el 2026-07-14
Descripción de la oferta
I have two non-commercial pergolas already installed and mounted on a newly built one-story steel rooftop deck. Each unit sits installed on four factory aluminum inserts that are through-bolted to the deck; the pergola posts are anchored to those inserts with single 10" bolts at the base. The city will only sign off once a licensed engineer confirms the assemblies can resist local wind pressures and possible up-drafts at roof level. I can supply a full package of blueprints, photos, and existing engineering specifications for both the deck and the current pergola installation. What I need from you: AN ACTIVE STATE OF IL LICENSE • Complete wind-load analysis in accordance with the applicable building code (IBC / ASCE 7) and current building codes. • Recommendations for achieving compliance—additional bracing has already been flagged, but I welcome any other upgrades you deem necessary. • Detailed drawings and calculations covering connection points, hardware, and any reinforcement required. • Engineer’s stamp (state-appropriate) on the final calculations and drawings so I can submit them directly to the city. Acceptance will be based on the city’s approval of your stamped package, so please outline the codes you will work to and confirm you can provide the seal in your reply. THIS IS FOR A COMMERCIAL PROPERTY. FURTHER DOCUMENTATION CAN BE PROVIDED ON THE EXISTING STRUCTURE. DO NOT SUMBIT A QUOTE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LICENSE IN THE STATE OF IL, I WILL REQUEST YOUR LICENSE NUMBER UPON ANY SUBMISSION AND VALIDATE WITH THE STATE OF IL WEBSITE.
