We are launching a focused, high-velocity modernization initiative for our e-commerce platform. We need an experienced, autonomous WordPress and Web Developer to restructure our content management workflows, implement a headless CMS architecture, and bridge marketing components with our core application. This is a streamlined, fast-paced contract designed to be completed in 4 to 6 weeks.Budget and Capacity ControlsHourly Rate: $80 - $95 / hr.Weekly Limit: 20 - 30 hours per week.Payment Modality: All milestones and hours are processed through this platform’s secure billing and escrow systems. Manual billing and off-platform transactions are strictly prohibited.Scope of Work and DeliverablesYour contribution is highly technical and tightly scoped to prevent any overlap with our frontend and backend engineering tracks. You will be responsible for:Headless CMS Architecture: Configure and optimize WordPress to operate as a headless CMS, delivering structured content via high-performance APIs.API Webhooks Integration: Design and deploy API webhooks to synchronize marketing campaigns, articles, and promotional data with our core e-commerce database.Gutenberg Custom Blocks: Build flexible, reusable custom Gutenberg blocks, empowering non-technical marketing teams to deploy landing pages autonomously.Performance and Optimization: Ensure all custom PHP scripts and content delivery modules match our performance budgets.Technical Quality GatesTo maintain the structural integrity of our platform, all deliverables must pass our quality assurance standards:Clean Code and Review: All custom modules and integrations must undergo peer review by senior development nodes before merging.Git Version Control: Development must be conducted strictly within isolated feature branches.Security Standards: Zero tolerance for high-severity vulnerabilities or insecure third-party plugins.Communication and Workflow GuidelinesAsynchronous Execution: We operate in a remote-first, asynchronous setup. High technical autonomy is required.Daily Logging: At the end of each work session, you will provide a brief written status update on your progress, next steps, and any potential technical blockers.Weekly Sync: Participate in a weekly alignment session to review active integration targets and check compatibility with the live staging environments.
