We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to migrate our existing organisational website from SiteVision to WordPress. This is primarily a website migration project, not a completely new website. We will provide a website export from our current provider (Native Digital), along with branding assets and content. Project Scope The successful developer will be responsible for: • Migrating all existing website pages, content, images, downloadable documents, and media to WordPress. • Recreating the current website design while improving the overall user experience and ensuring it is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. • Setting up a clean and easy-to-manage WordPress backend so our team can update content without technical knowledge. • Implementing contact forms and ensuring all existing website functionality continues to work. • Integrating existing services where required (e.g. Google Analytics, social media feeds, embedded content, QR code/Fandeck content). • Preserving SEO where possible, including page URLs, metadata, and redirects. • Testing the website before launch to ensure all pages, links, forms, and downloads function correctly. • Assisting with the final website launch, including domain and DNS updates if required. We Will Provide • Website export from SiteVision • Existing website content • Images and branding assets • Domain and hosting information • Feedback throughout the project Required Skills • Proven experience migrating websites from another CMS to WordPress • Strong WordPress development experience • Experience with Elementor or Gutenberg • HTML, CSS, PHP, and responsive web design • Website migration and SEO best practices • Experience with DNS and website launches Preferred Experience Experience working with community organisations, charities, Indigenous organisations, or government projects is highly desirable. Deliverables • Fully functional WordPress website • Responsive design across all devices • Easy-to-manage WordPress admin dashboard • Content successfully migrated • SEO preserved where possible • Website tested and ready for launch • Post-launch support for bug fixes (2–4 weeks preferred) Please include examples of previous website migration projects in your proposal, particularly migrations from non-WordPress platforms to WordPress.
