I run a WordPress-based website and am seeking ongoing, hands-on support to ensure the site remains accurate, functional, and high-performing at all times. This role combines content management with proactive technical maintenance and troubleshooting. Scope of Work 1. Content Management and Publishing Upload draft blog posts provided by our copywriters into WordPress. Format each post for a clean, professional, and on-brand presentation, including headings, images, internal links, and metadata. Ensure consistency with brand guidelines, including typography, layout, and visual structure. Verify that all links within posts (including contact forms and internal links) are working correctly. 2. Website Functionality and Technical Maintenance Monitor overall website performance, including page speed, plugin health, and WordPress core updates. Ensure all pages load properly across desktop and mobile devices. Identify and fix broken links, form errors (including contact forms), and any plugin malfunctions. Troubleshoot and resolve site errors promptly, including situations where the site goes offline. Maintain regular backups and implement basic security best practices to protect against downtime, errors, or potential hacking issues. 3. Ongoing Monitoring and Issue Resolution Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users. Ensure all plugins are functioning properly and remain up to date. Serve as the first point of contact for diagnosing and fixing website-related problems. Collaboration You will work directly with our copywriter and occasionally a designer, implementing provided specifications and offering practical solutions when direction is unclear. Acceptance Criteria All new content renders correctly on desktop and mobile, with no formatting or display issues. All links, forms, and pages function properly without errors. Website performance metrics (e.g., PageSpeed) remain in an acceptable range after updates. No unresolved plugin, security, or system warnings in the WordPress dashboard. Website uptime is maintained, and any outages are addressed promptly and effectively.
