I need a clean, fast WordPress site that presents my writing portfolio in a way that feels more like a library than a blog. Visitors should be able to browse articles, search by keyword or tag, read individual pieces, comment on them, and download each sample as a PDF. Here’s the flow I have in mind. The homepage showcases featured works with excerpt cards that click through to dedicated article pages. On each article page I want: • A built-in commenting system (native WordPress is fine, but it must be styled to match the theme). • A clearly placed “Download PDF” button that auto-generates a nicely formatted PDF of the article. • Meta data fields for category, tags, and approximate read time to feed the search and filter tools. Search should be front-and-center, returning results instantly and highlighting the search term inside excerpts. If a lightweight search plugin such as Relevanssi or SearchWP suits the job, let’s use it; otherwise, propose an alternative you trust. Theme choice is open as long as it is mobile-first, Gutenberg-friendly, and keeps page load times low. I’m comfortable supplying the copy and images once the structure is in place; you handle the build, plugin configuration, and basic security hardening. Deliverables 1. Fully functioning WordPress site on my hosting, ready for content input 2. Configured commenting system, PDF generator, and advanced search 3. Written hand-off notes (theme, plugins, how to add new pieces) I want to sign off only when I can upload a new article, hit publish, and see every feature work exactly as described.
